Sponsorship Process

1. Submit application form Download the TARA application, fill it out and submit it via email with research plan
2. Application screening & notification All applications received by the deadline are screened, and those selected are personally notified (phone, text, email).
3. Submit research questionnaire The final questionnaire also needs to be submitted (can’t be edited).
4. Data collection & delivery After getting the final questionnaire via email, sample data(cleaned) is provided within 2wks.
As a security deposit, 10% of respective sponsorship money needs to be paid when data collection starts, and the another 10% is paid when data is received.
5. Citations when publishing dissertations 2 published dissertation needs to be submitted to CI’s TARA(For online dissertations, PDF file and registration record needs to be submitted).
6. Security deposit refund When the dissertation gets published within 2 years, all security deposit paid (20% of sponsorship) is returned in full

Precautions

  • Please complete the survey plan in accordance with the TARA application format and submit all related documents.
  • It can not support research that is in violation of ethical regulations, Statistics Act, and the act of judging is given solely to Consumer Insight. Please review carefully to see if it is realistic research design.
  • Note that not all research studies are eligible for sponsorship. All sponsorship is based on Consumer Insight’s online research operation policy. Below are Consumer Insight’s guidelines regarding research design.
  • Guidelines on Survey Design
    Sample Design Excessive sample size (Over 400 cases)
    Low incidence rate (50% or lower) (ex. Target: recent 6mo credit loan user etc.)
    Complex sample design (ex. Various q’nnaire depending on timing, specific quotas applied per q’nnaire)
    Questionnaire Design When the questionnaire is not final version (lacks execution)
    Excessively long (ex. Over 15 min, A4 basis p.10 or more)
    Matrix type questions (Stimuli X Traits)
    Long texts that is hard to understand
    Question/scale Design Questions/measures that may encourage inattentive/negative response (ex. Over 20 7pt scale questions, repeated patterns, informational questions that requires detailed knowledge etc)
    Offensive questions (ex. Personal financial info, and other sensitive info)
    Short-answer type questions
    Others Doesn’t apply to above, but questions that are deemed difficult to execute

  • For other cases, when it infringes upon Statistics Act or requires more investment than just collecting data (labor/time)
